Dua Sharif
Bismillah ir Rahman ir RahimI begin in the Name of Allah, the Most Merciful and the Most Compassionate Lord: "Hu", Who is the Lord of the Alimeen. We seek His Shelter from Satan the accursed and his comrades. Oh Allah, Your shelter is the Strongest and Most Formidable of all shelters, and reliance on Your Help is the best reliance. Therefore we give ourselves into Your Protection, relying fully and completely on Your Power to Preserve and Keep Safe. Oh Allah, You are the Light of all lights, and the Light of our Beloved Master Muhammad s.w., Your Beloved Rasul, is a light among Your Lights. We beseech You to make us the receptacles of that Muhammadan Light. Let our hearts be illumined by that Perfect Light and let it's peace and wisdom descend into the deepest recesses of our souls, until it shines through every cell and atom of our beings. May Your Divine Light reflected in the hearts of Your devotees fill the world with peace and love.
O' Our Rabb, the Sustainer of our bodies, hearts and souls, give wholesome nourishment to all dimensions of our beings, and purge us of all negativity and toxins that our lower selves have accumulated. O' You who are the Power Irresistible, grant us control over our "nafs", and let not our "nafs" control us. Allow us to tame our lower self into obedience to Your Will. Aid us and aid not against us. Grant us victory over every obstinate transgressor. Let not us be tyrranized and let not tyrranical deeds ensue from us. O' the Savior of the "Masakeen", let not us be oppressed and let not us oppress. O You, who grants sovereignty to whom You Will, grant us the freedom and the power to fulfill the purpose for which you created us. Let us not be held in bondage by any creature for Yours is the Dominion and Yours is the Control.
O' Lord of my entire being, let me be pledged to You alone, that You alone may provide for all my needs, manifest or hidden. Let not these hands be spread in want before any mortal. Grant that excellence to my prayer and worship that the pleas my tongue utters never return unanswered or unfulfilled. O' the Pure One and the Lover of the Pure, grant me purity of heart, body, mind and soul.
O' Coverer of shame, cover our shame and blot out our shortcomings. O' Creator of all that is good, grant us goodness in this life and in the hereafter. O' You who Frees His servant whom distress has encircled, free us from all distresses and anxieties.
O' You Who are the Joiner of Hearts, remove all rancour and enmity from our hearts and the hearts of our adversaries.
O' Allah, make our stay in this world, a safe, prosperous, peaceful and easy stay. O' Allah, make our transition at the time of death an easy transition. Save us from the trials and tribulations of our final moments. Let our graves be the havens of Your Love and Light. Let not the fires of hell consume us, and let the Peace and Bliss of Heaven be the coolness of our hearts and souls. And deprive us not our Lord, of the Supreme Felicity that You have promised your faithful servants – that of Your Vision, and gazing upon Your Countenance.
O' Allah, Hold my hand and guide me through the darkness. O' my Support, hold me up before I falter – O' my Beloved Lord, dry my tears before they fall.
O' Allah: Let your Love and Your Light be for me a protective shield against all forms of danger, evil and negativity, coming to me from before me or behind me, above me or below me, from my right or my left, from within me or without, in my home or outside of it, in my sleep or wakefulness, and of things known or unknown to me.
O' Allah, I give myself, my children, my parents, my friends and all my loved ones in Your care, for You are the Best of the Guardians and the Trustees.
Let Your will work in our best favour now and always for the sake of Muhammad s.w. and his beloved progeny.
